School Zone, Not War Zone: Help Kids from eastern Ukraine get ready for school!

UCC Toronto and Euromaidan Committee have recently launched the "SCHOOL ZONE, NOT WAR ZONE" fundraising campaign. The goal is to raise $10,000 in ten days to help children who are refugees from Eastern Ukraine to get ready for school.

Fifty three kids from Slovyansk, Luhansk and Donetsk had to escape from their cities due to the military conflict, and they need your help!

They had to leave home and all their belongings. Buildings, and school infrastructure have been destroyed by war. Now these children live in Kyiv region and survive with support of local volunteers. It is not safe for them to go back yet, and they will start their school year away from home.

Help them feel safe and cared for, and allow them to start off their year on the right foot!
