UCU Scholarship Recipients

We support students in our community by continuing to invest in their education. During this year’s AGM, UCU awarded scholarships to seven post-secondary students and two graduating high school students who have been UCU Members for at least two years.

The Scholarship Committee reviewed many applications from accomplished candidates and based their decisions on four criteria - academic performance, leadership and community involvement, commitment to volunteerism and fit the scholarship criteria.

UCU congratulates the following scholarship recipients:

UCU EUGENE ROMAN SCHOLARSHIP– is for students showing community involvement & studying in a field that will lead to a career in the technology sector.

UCU BOARD CHAIR'S SCHOLARSHIP – is for students showing community involvement & studying in various fields of Ukrainianistics.

UCU WASYL SYTNYK MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - is for students showing community involvement & studying in the fields of business, finance, banking, & wealth management.

UCU NEW PATHWAY JOURNALISM FELLOWSHIP – is for students enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a post-secondary field of study that will lead to a career in journalism (print, online, TV, or radio) or photojournalism, and who can demonstrate community involvement.
