POLICIES

We don't want to bog this blog down with too many policies, but we do have one or two that we feel are important.

1. Policy regarding commenting. Comments to this blog are moderated. This means that before they appear, someone gets to read them first to make sure that they fall within acceptable parameters. We intend to keep the parameters as wide as possible to give the largest number of people the opportunity to participate. As long as your comment is relevant to the topics discussed, refrains from using obscenities, does not include ad hominem attacks on others, does not advocate criminal or objectionable behaviour, and falls within the bounds of civil disucssion, we will likely approve it for publication. You are free to add comments under your own name, or as an anonymous user. However, we will vet anonymous comments a bit more strictly than those that appear under a legitimate name if they stray into more questionable/debatable topics. Why? If you feel strongly about something that others might disagree with, then signing your name to it gives us a greater degree of certainty that you are not doing something simply to be malicious. If you are willing to publicly stand behind your opinion, we are more willing to provide you with the forum to do so. If you are not willing to do so, then we may not be able to accomodate you. If you have any questions regarding this, please contact Yuriy Diakunchak at ydiakunchak@ukrainiancu.com.

2. Policy regarding contributors. The blogs contributors are currently employs of Ukrainian Credit Union Limited. We are not opposed to others becoming contributors, as long as they are willing to adhere to acceptbale standards of posting. From time to time we may chose to allow certain individuals, such as students in journalism, media, communications, PR or related fields, to contribute to the blog as part of their learning process. If you are interested in possibly becoming a contributor to the blog, please contact Yuriy Diakunchak at ydiakunchak@ukrainiancu.com.
