Ottawa Service Centre Blessing!

Last Thursday we celebrated the official blessing of our new service Centre in Ottawa! It was a big day for both Ukrainian Credit Union Limited and our hosts Ontario Women's Credit Union Limited (OWCU) - our service centre is located in their branch at 271 Bank St. in down town Ottawa.

OWCU held their AGM on Thursday April 25 and graciously invited us to share that event with them.

We started the special day off with a seminar on mortgages for local real estate agents which was held over lunch. The seminar was led by Diane Comtois our Credit Manager and Lana Rudenko, Acting Retail Credit Manager. Their goal was to get to know one another in an informal setting, provide information about our lending services to the local real estate agents to our services, and introduce them to the agents of residential and commercial lender who are ready to serve them. For the reception that started at 4pm the same afternoon, we invited our existing Ottawa-based members, representatives of various community groups as well as several priests to conduct the official blessing ceremony. Fathers Galadza, Ohrimtchouk and Gujanicic jointly carried out the honours!

After the ceremony, the Secretary of our Board of Directors, Jerry Pryshlak, presented a cheque for $2,500 to members of the Ottawa-area Pokrova Ukrainian Arts Network.
