Every year Ukrainian Credit Union Limited awards scholarships to deserving young members. This year in addition to the scholarships that we offer every year, we are introducing two brand new scholarships.

The first new scholarship recognizes the contribution of Eugene Roman, who until recently served as the Chair of the Board of Directors of Ukrainian Credit Union Limited. This new scholarship (Ukrainian Credit Union Limited Eugene Roman Scholarship, in the sum of $2,000, will be awarded to a candidate of Ukrainian heritage who is enrolled full time in a post-secondary institution in a field of study that will lead to a career in the technology sector (for example Aerospace, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Nanotechnology, Telecommunications, and related fields).

Under his leadership, UCU was one of the first credit unions in Ontario to implement a Call Centre, which continues today as a key element of the UCU’s service delivery model.
