Computers for Ukraine! Please inquire at work and inspire Ukrainian orphans toward a career in IT!

Upgrаdes at the office!? Euromaidan-Canada-Toronto committee is collecting "old" workplace computers that will be cleaned, sent, and installed in orphanages in Ukraine, giving these children the opportunity to gain computer skills. It is no secret that Ukraine is Europe's most quickly emerging IT hub, and planting a seed that may grow into an in-demand career may be one of the most wonderful things we can do for these kids.

Details on the initiative follow:

About: Euromaidan-Canada-Toronto aims to collect 3-4 year old computers from Canadian companies (who are undergoing computer upgrades).  Collected computers will be shipped to Ukraine, where our partner volunteers  will install them in orphanages and schools across Ukraine. Furthermore, our partner volunteers in Ukraine teach kids the basics of computer literacy and organize programming competitions for the participating children, thus seeding the foundations that can allow these children to choose Information Technology as their future profession.

How you can help: Please talk to your company or organization about donating their used computers to orphanages and schools in Ukraine.  You can also donate funds to help us offset shipping and computer-cleaning costs. Canada Ukraine Foundation, who is one of our sponsors, will  issue tax receipts for any donation over $ 50 for this project.
Additional Info: We will take care of all the paperwork for a charitable-donation and logistics. If your company requires minimal funds to cover disk-cleaning costs, please talk to us, we may be able to cover those.

Who to contact: Please contact Oleksandr Romanko <> to donate or if you have any additional questions.

This project is supported by Ukrainian Canadian Congress-Toronto, Canada Ukraine Foundation, Taras Shevchenko Ukrainian Community Center in Toronto and a Volunteer Organization from Ukraine "Charity Initiative".

Together - let's build a more prosperous Ukraine!
Thank you!
Oleksandr and Euromaidan Canada Toronto Committee
