UCU Helps Ukraine: Andriy Manko

Манько Андрій Миронович – боєць з позивним «Міронич» перебуває сьогодні на лікуванні у відділенні гнійної хірургії Львівського військового госпіталю. Андрій наш земляк, уродженець м. Дрогобич Львівської області, 30.11.1975 року народження, мав чудову мирну професію – будівельника. На війну пішов добровольцем. Спочатку був Яворівський полігон, де Андрій здобув спеціальність сапера. В той час якраз почала формуватися 54-та окрема механізована бригада і, як розповідає боєць, 80 чоловік їхнього призову, 30 чоловік зв’язківців і рештки підрозділів, які вийшли з Дебальцево, сформували склад бригади. 10 березня виїхали в Артемівськ. Поранення Андрій отримав біля села Золоте Попаснянського району Луганської області. «Був виїзд, - розповідає боєць, - переганяли машину МАЗ з мінами. Їхали втрьох – я, шофер і ще один солдат. Попали на міну, підірвалися … Як забирали мене не пам’

ятаю, пізніше дізнався що хлопці витягли, викликали швидку та завезли в Попасну, а звідти в Харків. Там у військовому госпіталі мені зробили 4 операції на ногах, на обох були закриті переломи, в хребет вставили пластину. А звідти відправили до Львова».

Одна нога Андрія в апараті Ілізарова, а другою він дуже тішиться: «Молодець оця моя нога! Вже пішла на покращення, і я її шаную: роблю фізичні вправи кожного дня, стараюся!» У бійця проблеми з п’ятками, в пальці лівої руки вставлені металічні спиці, в спині яма, в нього попереду ще довге лікування і не менш довга реабілітація, тому просимо всіх небайдужих допомогти нашому земляку!

 

Soldier Manko Andriy Myronovych aka "Myronych" is now being treated in the department of purulent surgery of the Lviv military hospital. Andriy is our countryman, a native of the city of Drohobych, Lviv region, born 11.30.1975. He used to work in construction, a wonderful and peaceful line of work. When the war started, he joined the army as a volunteer. First was the Yavoriv grounds, where Andriy received training as a sapper. At that time the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade was just being formed. Andriy says that 80 of his fellow conscripts, 30 communications specialists and the remnants of units that escaped from Debaltseve formed the brigade. They were transferred to
Artemivsk on March 10, 2015. Andriy received a wound near the village of Zolote, the Popasna district of the Luhansk region. "I was with the team which was transporting mines by a MAZ truck- says the soldier. There were three of us- me, the driver and another soldier. We hit a land mine ... I do not remember how it all happened, only later I learned that the guys pulled me out, called an ambulance which took me to Popasna and from there to Kharkiv. At the Kharkiv military hospital I underwent four operations on my legs, both of them had closed fractures, and a plate was inserted in the spine. From there I was transferred to Lviv." One of Andriy's legs is currently in an llizarov apparatus and the other one is making him very happy: "My good leg! lt is already improving, and I respect it, I exercise it every day, doing my best!" The soldier has problems with his heels, the
fingers of his left hand have metal needles inserted in them and there is a hole in his the back. He still has a long treatment and long rehabilitation ahead, so we are asking all good people to help our countryman!
