Дуже шкода, що Юра не побачив як 1 вересня в перший клас пішов його синок Олексійко, та ми сподіваємося, що боєць одужає і вже на останній дзвоник поведе свого синочка сам.
There is a new patient in the rehabilitation ward of the Lviv military hospital, Yuriy Harbuziuk. Yuriy was placed in the same room with Sashko Kozachok, because they both have brain injuries which disrupt language function. Yuriy communicates with his eyes. He was born on 12/26/1987 and is a resident of the village of Myniyky, Zhytomyr region. His mother died and Yuriy grew up under the tutelage of his brother, whose wife Luda became a mother for the boy. When Yuriy grew up he worked as a stone polisher, met his future wife Natalia. They
married in 2008 and gave birth to a pair of kids. They lived a normal life, had
plans, lead a household. According to Natalie, Yuriy liked to breed rabbits and
loved his kids ... Then the war began, and Yuri received the summons. On July 22,
2015, he went to the army to defend their happiness. He was at the "Desna"
grounds in Chernihiv region for a month, and then was transferred to Artemivsk, and
then to Stanytsia Luhanska. This is where he got injured. He was at the checkpoint. In the
morning, at 4:30, a mine exploded behind him. Unfortunately, there is not more
information as the documents from the army have not yet arrived. What is known from
his medical certificates: on August 2, 2015 he got injured by a mine explosion in the line
of duty within the Anti-Terrorist Operation in the Donetsk region. He received a blind
penetrating gunshot wound to the head, a fracture of parietal, temporal and frontal
bones of the left side with multiple fragments, intracerebral displacement of bone
fragments, severe brain contusion, motor aphasia, and a right-sided hemiplegia. He
received first aid in the Artemivsk hospital and was subsequently taken by the helicopter
to a military hospital where the surgery was performed: the wound was surgically
treated, a fragment was removed, he received a resection craniotomy and other
necessary procedures. On August 28, he was transferred to a neurosurgical department.
Yuriy still needs to recuperate and, in a month and a half, a metal plate will be implanted
in his head. It is unfortunate that Yuriy did not see his son Oleksiyko go to the 1st grade on
September 1 this year. But we hope that the soldier will recover before his son finishes
the 1st grade.
