Gift basket awarded at St. Catharines branch

As you may know our branch in St. Catharines holds a monthly draw for our members. A basket filled with donations of items from business persons who are members at our branch is the typical prize. The winner of June's draw was Emilia Kachor.

When Em was on holidays last month she and her husband had stopped in for a visit. We encouraged her to complete a ballot since she did some banking here , and is a member of UCU. Today we asked one of our members’ (Emilia Smal - what a coincidence, no?) to select a ballot from the box, and lo and behold the ballot she drew was “Em Kachor”! We notified Em at the call centre, and she happened to have the afternoon off today. She had plans to go to Vineland and decided to come to our branch to pick up her prize.
