Halyna Chumak - UCU Community Leadership Award winner


The second winner of the UCU Community Leadership Award is Halyna Chumak. This award is in the amount of $1,000 and is given to qualifying candidates of Ukrainian heritage who are enrolled in a field of study such as political science, business, communication, theology, or international studies and who show above average academic skills. The winners must also demonstrate leadership and community involvement.


Halyna is a 2nd year student of Arts & Sciences majoring in Criminology and English Literature with minor in philosophy at the University of Toronto. Currently Halyna is the Vice-President of the University of Toronto English Students’ Club and an associate editor of IDIOM the Undergraduate Journal at U of T. She is a member of the U of T Ukrainian Students’ Club.
