UCPBA Toronto hosts Roman Dubczak

Roman Dubczak, Managing Director and Head of Equity Markets, with CIBC World Markets was the keynote speaker at last night's Speaker Series event held by UCPBA Toronto. The event took place at the National Club.

UCPBA holds Speaker Series events once or twice a year and they always attract a large audience due to the high quality of speakers. Roman Dubczak told the guests many interesting stories about the world of big financial deals in Canada and showed how despite little publicity about it, Canadian banks are among the top world players in the business.

He also talked about how many of the lessons learned as a youngster growing up in the Ukrainian community clustered in the Bloor West Village area helped him later in life. Key messages to younger members of the audience were to keep your pride in check (good things come to those who keep a level head and pay their dues) and to find a mentor who can help you through the hurdles along your career path by offering valuable advice.
