The morning started with a talk by Orysia Sushko C.M. who spoke about the tragedy of human trafficking. During her seminar titled "Against their will: The reality of human trafficking" she spoke about the root causes behind the criminal business of selling people into sexual servitude. She talked about the work that Ukrainian organizations in Canada and around the globe have dome in bringing attention to this issue. She also showed the trailer of a recent documentary on the subject that was directed by Larissa Kondracki titled "The Whistleblower". After the talk, students were able to break out into groups to discuss what they could do at the local level to help the victims of trafficking.

The next speaker was Taras Zalusky, Executive Director of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress. He talked about the organizations work consulting the Canadian government on issues that are of interest to Ukrainian-Canadians. He also talked about UCC's efforts to reach out to the next generation of community leaders and welcomed SUSK members to consider working with UCC in their Ottawa headquarters.

The rest of the morning featured reports from the executives of SUSK. They talked about how they have been building the infrastructure of the organization, communicating their activities both to students and to audiences outside the student clubs.

After a break for lunch, the delegates reconvened for a presentation from members of the Canada Ukraine Chamber of Commerce. The CUCC delegates spoke about the companies that comprise the membership of CUCC as well as about the adventures and challenges of doing business in Ukraine and other countries of Eastern Europe.
The central message of the CUCC speakers was that their organization is a logical place for SUSK members to continue their involvement in the community, find opportunities for mentorship and develop business and professional contacts.
