RRSP Gift-a-palooza!!! (Deadline is almost here)

The looming RRSP contribution deadline seems to elicit a
comically over-the-top reaction from  long-time
UCU member (and Director of Marketing) Yuriy Diakunchak

The RRSP deadline is almost upon us, and yet many of us are still probably saying "I'll make my contribution next week". I know that I waited till yesterday to make my first contribution (thanks Olenka at Etobicoke for preparing all the paperwork).

But we just know that our branches will be stacked with people on february 28 and 29 making last minute contributions. So we decided to make it easier to make up your mind by going from branch to branch this week with a little display to remind people that time is running out (only 7 days left as of today). We also want to let everyone know that the government is planning on reducing or even eventually eliminating the Old Age Supplement (OAS) thus making it even more important for all of us to save money for a financially secure future.

Today (February 23) we have set up shop in the Mississauga branch and tomorrow we will be at Bloor and Armadale. Next week we hope to visit another branch or two. We'll let you know where and when as soon as we can. Keep an eye on the blog or our facebook page for details.
