French-Ukrainian photographer Youry Bilak is coming to the Toronto Ukrainian Festival this year! The upcoming photographic exhibition by Youry Bilak portrays the life of Hutsuls in the Carpathian Mountains of Ukraine. The exhibition will take place during the festival in Bloor West Village in September. The project consists of around 40 large format (60x90 cm) pictures exhibited in a pavilion which will be located on Bloor Street between Kennedy and Glendowynne Road. Inside the pavilion the curators will recreate a true museum atmosphere with black fabric background, lights and ethnic Hutsul music helping the visitor to dive into the world of Hutsuls from the Carpathians.
