Lu Taskey - Candidate for the UCU Board of Directors


Lu Taskey is the third (in alphabetical order) of four people running for election to the UCU Board of Directors whose bio we are featuring on the blog.

Mr. Lu Taskey has been a UCU member for 37 years. His involvement and participation in the community has been with the Ukrainian Canadian Professional & Business Club of Toronto, founding member of the Children of Chornobyl Canadian Fund, Ronald MacDonald House, Sick Kids’ Hospital and Ukrainian Health Centre.

In the corporate and private sector he was in the advertising area of J. Walter Thompson, Benson & Co., Communications, Cg6 Design, Poss Industries, Rockwell International and Protein Foods. Mr. Taskey did presentations for IBM, TD, BNS, Dairy Queen, Amanda, 25th and 50th Jubilee of Q.E II. He has also provided photographic documentation for all levels of governments, National Film Board of Canada, Photographic Corporation of America and CBC.

Mr. Taskey is currently active in consulting and mentoring on many levels of business relating to management, human resources, as well as a concept to launch projects to both undergraduates and graduates. In the publishing field, he a publisher of brochures, pamphlets, annual reports, text books, perspectives and promotional materials.

Mr. Taskey has worked independently and collaboratively with numerous groups for many decades. He has a Master’s degree in Educational and Industrial Psychology.
